We believe in the preservation of the fishing resources and encourage all billfish to be released. Travel the world and you will agree the best year-round fishing is in Costa Rica. The most rewarding experience is to hook, catch and release a marlin, and here on the Pacific Coast, we have blue marlin, about three to five hundred pounds, black marlin, seven to nine hundred pounds, and striped marlin that average about 200 pounds. To hook a marlin is truly a Kodak moment.

Sport fishing in Flamingo Beach
Costa Rica’s main fishing season is December thru May although May thru August is considered the prime season for sailfish, November thru March is considered prime for marlin depending on the weather we fish year-round for snapper. Wahoo, roosterfish, tuna, dorado, sail, and marlin. Since December thru May is the dry season the waters are usually calm, therefore fishing is prime.
Fishing chaters Flamingo Beach Guanacaste
Flamingo Beach stretches over one mile and is 75 kilometers west of Liberia, in the province of Guanacaste. Its “dry, tropical location” offers blue skies, calm seas and warm days and nights during the “dry season,” from December through April, and less rainfall than in other parts of the country the remainder of the year. While precipitation may occur throughout the year, September and October see the heaviest rainfall, with showers occurring almost daily.
There are many ways to access Flamingo. There are two airports that offer flights to Liberia International Airport, one hour by car from Flamingo, and the airport in Tamarindo, 20 minutes away. The road to Flamingo is paved if you decide to go by car. Alternatively, one can arrive by bus or boat to the nearby Marina.
